How it works:
1) Attach powerbank to Santander bike
2) Peddle backwards
3) Charge powerbank batteries.
The critically homeless in London have little access to charging their phones/devices.
Stifling their ability to access really crucial digital services like banking, networking and social reach.
A powerbank that enables the user to charge their phone on any santander bicycle for free.
My Powerbank is a power bank designed for those experiencing homelessness in London, that can be charged for free using Santander bikes.
Why Santander bikes ? (and not other e-bikes)
They are mapped on London Public Maps,
so you don't need a phone to find one.

My inspiration came from Michael Rakowitz's 'Parasites'. A series of igloo like shelters that used hot air vents from buildings in New York to inflate and heat for rough sleepers. I loved this guerilla style design of using something the city gave away for free and reuse it for those it designs against.

How is it free?
My Powerbank can be charged using stationary Santander bikes, so you don't need to pay to rent one out.
